Less We Forget

When you forget the rhymes,
the poetry,
the motion of the rhythm,
the structure and the words,
you get something that doesn’t really fit in at all,
a word long,
a sequence small.
Then if you think of yourself on a spiral staircase,
with twists and turns,
you can take your poetry anywhere,
Like a Salvador Dali painting,
a mirror tunnel,
or a Kaleidoscope.
You can be an eagle soaring through the sky at one hundred miles an hour,
you can be an hour glass,
with a perfect hour glass figure.
